Types of visualisations

Visualizations are diverse tools used to represent data in an understandable and insightful manner.

Common types of data visualization include bar charts, which represent data categories with rectangular bars; line graphs, displaying trends over time; pie charts, illustrating proportions using circle slices; scatter plots, showing relationships between variables with data points; and heat maps, depicting data density or distribution with color gradients.

Also, there are other visualisations including

  1. bubble charts
  2. histograms
  3. treemaps
that are appropriate for various data kinds and research objectives.

Visualisations aid in the successful exchange of difficult data, improving learning among different groups and domains and supporting decision-making.
